KYRGYZ FISH SELLER
That Kyrgyz lady spends her days in this old, blue painted, railroad car. She tries to sell dried fish to occasionally passing car drivers. The fish are caught in Son Kul Lake and are carried to her small and very basic kitchen in a five hour horseback ride by her sons. At first she did not want me to take her picture, but after couple of hours that we spent drinking one tea pot after another (she did not charge for), she willingly demonstrated her daily routine to the camera. Luckily for me there was a great natural light coming in from both the window and the door.
