AURIKA AND ION

Aurika and Ion in their front yard. Ion is 87 with diabetes problem, Aurika is 83 with a broken arm and swollen veins. Despite that and no help around, the house and yard are clean and tidy. When I spotted this lovely couple from the street and asked to take their photo, Aurika hurried into the house and came back with a picture from their wedding day. They got married in 1953. She was 17, he was 21. They've been leaving in the same plcae eversince. 48 years ago a lightning struck their wooden house and it burnt completely. Luckily they managed to escape. Later on they built their current house by their own 20 fingers.
